What a great time to post some BAND shots… Just as they are beginning band camp for the summer. These students put in tons of time and effort into The Blackhawk Brigade. They bust their butts for perfection and accept nothing but the best in their performances. Good Luck Blackhawk Brigade and best of Luck to you Amanda! =)

Have you ever had a person who didn’t belong to you, but you would take in like your own child? This is that child to me…When this boys father was in the military after high school, I was his pen pal. He is one of my favorite uncles and when I had my first child… so did he. Just 3 days apart. Nathan has been special to me since the day he was born. And Uncle Scott has been important to me since he became my dads youngest brother. They both hold a special place in my heart that I cannot explain!! I can’t believe your a senior. I am proud of you!!

New for 2010 Seniors. These dog tags ROCK! I love to see them hanging from the rear-view mirror when I drive by a senior that I have photographed. These coffee table books are something every senior will have to have. It is just a must… they are sick. (As my son would say.)

20 glossy pages of photographic ART, designed just for YOU.

Things are in full swing here at the studio… families, engagements, weddings, seniors and sports. I got a chance to squeeze Gina’s kids in for a setting here at the studio. They were so much fun. When Gina first started working at the studio… these two were both in the elementary school and right before my eyes they have grown to junior high and high school students. I learned that Zach doesn’t like kisses from his sister and Faith likes to give them when least expected. You have great kids, Gina… You should be proud!! I am convinced you must be perfect to be such a great employee and such a great mom.

Okay…I have been fired… The first time in my life, I have been fired from a job. As you all know, my son Dakota is a ICF cagefighter. This Holiday weekend he had another championship WIN in the cage. And once again I was the videographer and failed to push record. This has happened twice since he started fighting and the other times I got more of the ground than the fight. Anyways… last night he informed me that I was fired and his girlfriend would take over videoing the fights from here on out. He told me that I was a great photographer and needed to stick with the camera, and let go of the video camera. I went to bed wondering how I was going to stand there and watch him fight without a “job” to keep my nerves occupied. The job as an onlooker and having your son in the cage is probably the hardest job I have ever had to do. It isn’t easy being fired by your own son. But life goes on and so do the cagefights. He has fights the next three weekends. I guess mom will be sitting ring side fiddling my thumbs waithing for the bell to ring so I can relax.
Since Dakota first started fighting he has always said that for some reason, with all the hollering and cheering in the crowd, he can only hear mom and his trainer. Cage fighting is no different that watching your child play football or basketball. So of course, I am screaming my head off every fight in support of my son. I am waiting for him to suggest that I don’t holler so much, because I make him nervous… But that will never happen… after all…. I am the mom!!
Congrats Dakota on another WIN… Even though you fired me… I am still so very PROUD of you!

We all had them and some of us still do. Mine was a brown teddy bear named Sheba. He was a gift to me the day that I was born by my parents. I loved Sheba he was with me through my childhood years and even slept with me through my divorce. He was passed down to Kiona and now has a spot in the crib next to Bryson. Kiona liked Sheba… but now Bryson loves Sheba! He likes to bite his nose and cuddle with him.
This little guy truley loves his childhood friend also. They are the bestest of friends!! Just wanted to post these to give you a little taste of the past. Remember those childhood friends and if he is stored in a closet at the bottom of a pile of stuff… dig him out and give him a new spot on your bed. We never outgrow these friends you know?!
