We have seniors coming from as far as Forest Park and Tecumseh to be photographed by us. We feel honored that we were chosen to capture who you are for your senior pictures. These girls were so fun to work with. We enjoyed each one of you!

sixteen and a half years ago I promised my son on the day he was born that I would always be here for him! Also on that day, I was blessed with a best friend. He truly holds a place in my heart that noone else can fill. I Love you Both and await the birth of a little guy who my mother says “will hold the key to my heart.” God never said life would be easy. He just promised it would be worth it.

Wow… Looks like to me HE will be a cute one….

A very special client…

For years I have told my children that I would not take their Senior  pictures, because they are such a pain in the  ***  every year for our annual family pictures…. I am not kidding… the most dfficult people to get to behave behind the camera. But guess what, here is one of them. I can’t believe this little guy once needed to be read a bedtime story cause he was scared of the dark, the same one that we spent hundreds of dollars on Pokemon cards for his collection (He will kill me when he reads this). the same one who slid across the hood of a car when the dukes of hazzard was new at the movie theatre, and caused $300.00 worth of damage cause he thought he was Luke Duke. The same one who went yesterday and bought his dad a fathers day card and gift without being asked. The same one who grows every day to be a responsible young man… Geez…Time flies.  I have photographed several seniors and have had several moms who came in to view the proofs and stood  at my desk with tears in thier eyes…. I now know their feelings…Even though Logan is not mine by blood. He is mine by what I feel in my heart. I have to say that this is one of the funnest Senior sessions I ever shot… Thanks Logan for being one of the kids who make our home a brighter place to live. Your gonna love these!!

Another one of my best friends from high schools- daughter. She also was one who had a drive-by audience with some whistles, and staring. These girls these days are too cute!! (I love the attitude with those knee high boots.)

Randy told me when they came to the studio, that they have never had a professional picture of Parker with a smile. So here at the studio we tried really hard and gave dad just what he wanted…Just in time for fathers day!

I must be getting old… I just took the daughter of one of my best friends from high schools, senior pictures. And she was a joy to work with. Not only did we have a great time. I had to laugh when a car load of guys drove by and whistled at her as she was posing for the shoot. I have to admit though she looked pretty darn cute… You be the judge.

Some things don’t go unnoticed!

When I first looked into having a blog. I researched what a blog “actually was”. A blog is intended to be an online diary

To the customer from the business owner. At professional photographers of America seminars, they say to talk about your life… and most important, every post SHOULDN”T be photography related. This post is kind of personal…

As a professional photographer, I feel that the greatest thing that I can do for my client… IS TO BE UNIQUE!

And in my own way- do things different for them. Not always the same pose that worked last week, and definitely not one that I saw on a website of a photographer in the same town. I don’t understand that… If you want to copy off another photographer, do a google search for photographer in California. There are an abundance of awesome photographers from all over the world who do incredible work. We live in a small town and some things just don’t go unnoticed….

I am honored to see that one in particular likes my work so well…But come on people- Can we not be creative on our own? BE CREATIVE IN YOUR MIND,  And tell YOUR clients story from YOUR point of view. That is what they hired you for. I often plan for hours and dig deep into my creative side to make my clients portraits look like no other. After all that is the joy of being a professional photographer— Telling the story how YOU see it.

Wow, doesn’t it feel great sometimes to just talk about how you feel? As a woman, sometimes just getting “it” of your chest, can open up a brand new day… Especially when it is something that has been on your mind for months.

A sneak peak for mom and dad… I Couldn’t resist showing off some shots from this session… I am not sure we could even try to pose these shots…This family didn’t have to be told how to have fun just rolling in the grass… Something told me they had done this before.  Enjoy!

where’s the beach?

Wow people… where is the beach? A family and I went to the beach for family pictures last week and when we got there…there was no beach. My first thought was that this family would be dissatisfied with pictures at the beach- if their were no beach. We had no choice with daylight ending shortly to stay at the location we were at.  We did our best to get the water in the background and we also did some shots by the bridge. When Rachel go the proofs back, boy was I wrong. She loved them… This beach scene is one that I will use again….
