If  your looking for some edgy urban portraits, we have some awesome locations for you. These photos were taken in a large empty space that is full of rough, warehouse looking style. I love these locations that are dull, dirty and torn apart, just waiting for some TLC.

Impulse Studio & Design  just returned home from the annual Professional Photographers of America Convention held in Nashville, Tennessee this year. And I am I refreshed!!! I am rejuvinated and ready for winter to be over so I can apply what I have learned. You can always be assured that your photographer keeps updated on the latest and greatest in photography! I heard a speaker say that if you do something that you love…. you will never work a day in your life! And OMG is she right. So while I am on the subject I want to say Thank you to everyone who trusted in me in 2009, to capture their memories. I look back on the year and remind myself that if it weren’t for my amazing clients, I would not be here doing what I love! So thank you, thank you, thank you!

I am making some small changes as 2010 begins. The biggest one is that there will be no price increases!!! Also, we will now be a full service lab offering framing. You will be able to view 18 different samples and choose your favorite. your order will then be ready to hang on the wall if that is what you wish. We don’t want you to have to go to Hobby Lobby, Ben Franklin, or wal-mart before you can hang your portraits on the wall. Keep checking back for other exciting new offers and new products!!! Here at Impulse Studio & Design, we want to say that we hope your holidays were poppin’. We took pictures of the Land kids a little late this year and couldn’t resist making a New year card because we didn’t want to go without sharing the pics that we got of the these adorable siblings.  These type of sessions are one of the reasons why I love my job so much… The studio still smells like popcorn!

I love, love, love these shots… These kids are too, too cute! Once again, we hope your holidays were full of FUN and hope that your New Year is even GREATER!

Now its time for me to indulge in a little sentimentality. My kids are getting older, and it recently occured to me that the days of someone in my house wanting to sit on Santas lap or leave out a glass of milk for the jolly ol fella, was over…. THEN…my grandson, Bryson walk in the front door. Kiona and I had put up the Christmas tree and set out our traditional holiday decorations. He walked straight to the tree and just stood there, looking high and low at the ornaments that I have collected over the years that mean the world to me, and the sparkle of the lights.  He turned back and looked at me and said. WooooW…. The cutest thing i had ever seen! It reminded me of when I was a kid at christmas time and it was soooo magical. I invite you to take a few minutes to remember your own childhood. And enjoy this magical time of year with the ones you love. And above all remember why Christmas is Christmas!!! And so belive me, I’m going to treasure every second of this holiday! I couldn’t resist having my grandchild on my christmas cards this year. And here a few I want to share. Have a very magical Christmas from Impulse Studio & Design!

SPREAD THE WORD… SANTA IS IN TOWN!!

Tis the season…. We will be on the Town Green November 19 helping to celebrate Community Night. We were also asked to be the exclusive photographer taking pictures with Santa. The event is happening from 6:00-8:00 with lots of activites for the little ones. Santa will be arriving a little before 7:00. Don’t miss out on this chance to have your childs picture taken with Santa before the season begins…..The perfect time for them to tell Santa what is on their wish list!    No appointment needed.

Just a sneak peek to one of my favorite families who visit the studio frequently. this is just what BB wanted- LEAVES! And boy, did she get them! What a blast!! We did not do alot of posing… just went with the family fun!  I Love Love Love it!
